The First Friday Prayer Against Drugs will be the first Friday of the month at 6:00 pm in front of the courthouse downtown.

Please, if you are able, join with us to pray concerning this very real problem that affects too many families in Macon County. Encourage others to join us, too.

The MCMA meeting is the second Tuesday each month.

Be a blessing!

Prayer Moments

So often when we get the Messenger, we just skim through it and read what pertains to us or our church.  I’m asking you to prayfully read it another way… put it where you have your quiet time with our God [and You do everyday, Right?]  J  and take an item or two each day till you go through the whole missive.   Pray for courage, time, finances and people to step up and be a server, a lover of our Jesus because of what he did for us and really become of part of what is going on in the Spiritual realm of Macon County. {Ask God what He wants you or your church to do}   We don’t have, because our churches and the people in them are not asking our Savior for help.  What did Jesus do the most..???  He prayed more than anything else.

Father, today and this week I want to ask You for help with education in our churches. It’s called Sunday school;  Spirit God help us to pray for: learning & understanding the Bible in our classes, for friendships that are deep and caring, full of action and for laughter and joy because we have You in our lives and church.  Show this congregation how they can help our teachers, by coming to class, by being on time, praying for each member & offering support in words and examples.  Thank You Lord Jesus, for hearing our petition we pray in Your Name, amen.

Holy God, sometimes we get so wordy that we don’t listen to You.  So I am going to ask You to fill in my blanks today and I will listen as You help me fill them in. Support me in doing this all week.

I arise today, through God’s might to uphold me, God’s wisdom to guide me, God‘s eye to look before me, God’s ear to hear my prayers and His hand to guard me.  I ask for God’s ways to lie before me and His shield to protect me.  [part of a prayer from St. Patrick.]  Father, thank You for old prayers that can have fresh new meaning when I am praying to You and through my Jesus.  I can find release of anxiety, I can yield myself and my family to You and prayer teaches me to be grateful.  Amen

Jesus, Lord, in the quiet of this moment, I dedicate this prayer to be an offering of love to You.  With Your presence and blessings given when we ask; You give us strength and power because we seek You. Thank You for guiding the humble, because we are helpless without You and are truly humbled because of Your greatness.  This week have us pray little prayers to You often and love Your presence and help in times of need. Thank You for your great name.  Amen

Dearest God and Father; You tell us we don’t have because we don’t ask…hear my confession of anything wrong between me and others and me and You.  Now I can ask in a forgiven position.  Thank You for mercy and compassions every day.  I surrender all my concerns and worries, hopes and hurts, problems and perplexities, fears and frustration and most assuredly I pray for _____________________.

Empower me to pray more and be grateful to You Jesus, in Your name, amen.

Lord God, I love reading Your Words and speaking to You in Your language.  I ask today from [AMP] Jeremiah 6:16…  I need guidance Lord, direction and meaning.  “Thus says the Lord; Stand by the roads and look; and ask for the eternal paths, where the good, old way is;  then walk in it, and your will find rest for your souls.  But they said, We will not walk in it. “Father, the last phrase makes me uncomfortable, may it not be true of me or of those truly seeking You. Help me to always walk with you.  In Jesus Name, amen.
